A couple years back, I built a Kabuto 703. A beautiful white blank with lots of integrity. That rod is very special to me, and I have kept it as my personal. It's listed on my blog in one of the first posts. During the winter I was contacted by a guy who wanted a replica of that rod. At that moment, I just had received a shipment from Carl McNeil on Epic Swift. I suggested that we should go for a 8', 4wt Epic fiberglass blank. He approved, and this is the result. I just happened to have one more of the NOS reel seat in anodized red aluminum. Together with the red spiral wrap and the straw colored silk wraps, it has everything a classic fiberglass rod should have. I hope it will be fished and loved by it's new owner.
